The meaning of the word Moor has changed according to time, place, language, and the people using the term. Responsible study requires careful attention to historical period, geography, source material, and context.

Within the teachings of the Moorish Science Temple of America, Moorish Americans are taught to reclaim knowledge of Moorish and Moroccan heritage, nationality, birthrights, and responsibilities.
Disciplined Research
Students examine archives, treaties, maps, newspapers, court records, family histories, and other evidence while distinguishing historical evidence, religious teachings, cultural identity, and personal belief.
Heritage and Civics
Heritage, ancestry, nationality, and citizenship may overlap, but they are not interchangeable. Cultural knowledge should be joined with accurate civic and legal understanding.

Online Schooling for Moorish Children was established to provide families with an educational environment that recognizes the importance of academic achievement, cultural identity, family participation, and community advancement.
Our students participate in an organized virtual school day with live instruction, independent learning, assignments, assessments, progress monitoring, and opportunities to develop their creativity and practical abilities.
We do not view education as the memorization of facts alone. Education should help a student understand who they are, develop the discipline to complete meaningful work, communicate with confidence, solve problems, and use knowledge for the benefit of family and community.

About Our Creator, Founder and CEO
Prime Minister NGSKS: Durriyyah Bey
Prime Minister NGSKS: Durriyyah Bey created Online Schooling for Moorish Children to provide students with an education grounded in academic excellence, Moorish identity, disciplined study, family participation, and purposeful service.
Her educational vision joins cultural knowledge with practical preparation. Under her leadership, OLSFMC supports students from Prekindergarten through Grade 12 through structured instruction, meaningful assessments, creative learning, character development, financial literacy, career readiness, and preparation for higher education.
Her work is rooted in the conviction that the minds of the young and the yet unborn must be cultivated with truth, pride, responsibility, and the confidence to build productive futures for their families and communities.
